Job summary

Scenic Hotel Group in Dunedin is seeking an Executive Assistant Manager to step into senior hotel leadership, working with the General Manager across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Conferencing and guest-facing areas. You will lead and coordinate day-to-day operations and be a visible operational leader when the GM is unavailable.

Ideal candidates bring solid hotel operations experience across multiple departments, at least three years in a Head of Department or senior management role, and

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in hotel operations across multiple departments.
• Experience as Head of Department or senior hotel management position.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Sound commercial awareness including budgeting, forecasting, labour productivity and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the day-to-day hotel operation.
• Support and coach Heads of Department and duty leaders.
• Keep the guest experience front and centre, including taking the lead on service recovery.
• Work with the team on revenue, payroll, productivity, purchasing and controllable costs.
• Ensure the hotel is presented, maintained and operating to the standard guests expect.
• Bring departments together around group, conference, corporate, leisure and sports business.
• Play an active role in health and safety, compliance and emergency readiness.
• Look for smarter ways of working and turn operational information and guest feedback into practical improvements.
