Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Hospital Cleaner at Nelson Hospital to contribute to a safe, hygienic environment for patients and staff. Join a friendly team and help run the hospital smoothly with an efficient cleaning service.

About the Role

As a Hospital Cleaner, you will help the hospital runsmoothly by providing an efficient cleaning service for the patients and staffat Nelson Hospital.

Help the hospital stay a safe place where families can visitin comfort and staff can continue doing great work in a clean environment.

Types of duties are - but not limited to:

• Offering morning andafternoon tea (drinks and snacks);
• Collecting meal trays frompatients after each meal;
• Mopping the floors usingspecific equipment which training is provided to use;
• Cleaning offices,bathrooms and ward rooms;
• Assisting other staff asrequested.

In addition to hourly rates, we pay penal rates for evening (after 8.00PM) and weekend work, and additionalpayments/time off if you are rostered to work on a public holiday.

The working hours will be on an asrequired basis assisting with peak capacity and covering staff leave. There areno fixed days.

About you
