Job summary

Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) is seeking Herd Test Technicians for seasonal casual roles in Palmerston North and the Wairarapa/Tararua region. You will drive LIC vehicles to deliver and install Herd Testing equipment and return the next day to collect samples.

The role is outdoors, fast-paced and requires good time management, physical strength, and flexibility with hours and locations. A clean Class 1 driver’s licence and strong communication are essential.

About the Role:

Our Herd Test Technicians use LIC vehicles to deliver and install Herd Testing equipment in dairy sheds throughout the region. They then return the following day to collect the completed samples and equipment. This is a fast-paced role which requires excellent time management skills and physical strength as handling heavy equipment is a must.

We have one position based in Palmerston north and one position based in the Wairarapa/ Tararua region. These are casual roles to support with cover over the seasonal peak for around 9 months.The role will suit individuals who love being outdoors and have flexibility with their working hours.
