Job summary

Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) is seeking Herd Test Technicians to deliver and install testing equipment in dairy sheds across the region. The role involves returning the next day to collect samples and equipment, operating in a fast-paced environment that requires strong time management and physical strength to handle heavy gear.

Two positions available: one in Palmerston North and one in the Wairarapa/Tararua region.

Qualifications

• Full Class 1 driver’s licence required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills expected.
• Self-motivated, professional and reliable attitude.
• Exceptional time management abilities are essential.
• Strong attention to detail is a must.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and install Herd Testing equipment in dairy sheds using LIC vehicles.
• Return the following day to collect samples and equipment; maintain timely schedules.
• Role is fast-paced and requires good time management and physical strength to handle heavy equipment.

About The Role

Our Herd Test Technicians use LIC vehicles to deliver and install Herd Testing equipment in dairy sheds throughout the region. They then return the following day to collect the completed samples and equipment. This is a fast-paced role which requires excellent time management skills and physical strength as handling heavy equipment is a must.

We have one position based in Palmerston north and one position based in the Wairarapa/ Tararua region. These are casual roles to support with cover over the seasonal peak for around 9 months. The role will suit individuals who love being outdoors and have flexibility with their working hours.
