HEB Construction in Canterbury is seeking an experienced GPS operator to join our Civil Canterbury team. You will lead precision earthmoving tasks, set up GPS systems, and work on regional projects that shape our local community.

You will operate excavators, dozers, graders, and scrapers with millimeter-level accuracy, troubleshoot GPS equipment, and perform routine maintenance while enjoying a supportive team culture and ongoing training opportunities.

Formación

• Proven precision-guided earthmoving, grading, and site preparation.
• Expertise in operating and troubleshooting GPS guidance systems (Trimble, Topcon, Leica).
• Ability to set up, configure, and calibrate GPS equipment on heavy machinery for millimeter accuracy.
• Valid Class 2 driver’s license with WTR endorsements.

Responsabilidades

• Operate heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, graders, scrapers) with GPS guidance.
• Perform GPS setup, calibration, and routine maintenance in the field.
• Troubleshoot GPS equipment, software, and connectivity issues.

We're looking for an experienced Heavy machinery operator to join our Civil Canterbury team. This is a great opportunity to be part of regional projects that help shape the local community.

What we're looking for

• Proven precision-guided earthmoving, grading, and site preparation tasks
• Expertise in operating and troubleshooting GPS guidance systems such as Trimble, Topcon, and Leica.
• Knowledge of how to properly set up, configure, and calibrate GPS equipment and attachments on heavy machinery to ensure millimeter-level accuracy.
• The ability to diagnose and fix technical issues related to the GPS equipment, software, and connectivity in the field.
• Proven, hands-on experience operating various types of heavy equipment, such as excavators, dozers, graders, and scrapers.
• Performing routine maintenance checks, cleaning, and minor repairs to ensure all equipment, including the GPS system, is in excellent working condition.
• A valid driver's license (Class 2 or higher) with WTR endorsements.
