Job summary

Stellar Recruitment Pty in Wellington is sourcing experienced Machine Operators for Civil Construction projects across the region. You will operate a range of heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucks, performing precision work on demanding sites.

Candidates will hold a Full Clean Class 1 and 2 licence with WTR (4 would be advantageous), have strong safety discipline, and a solid work ethic.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or civil sites.
• Experience operating heavy machinery.
• Valid NZ Class 1 and 2 licence with WTR.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, rollers and dump trucks.
• Maintain equipment and report issues.
• Follow safety procedures and site protocols.

Job description

With the Wellington Civil Construction sector set for a massive end of 2026, we're on the hunt for experienced Machine Operators to join the ever-growing list of projects across the region. The right candidate will have the ability to operate a variety of heavy machinery, including loaders, dump trucks, bull bulldozers and/ or excavators for precision work, be able to jump on a shovel when required and carry out the rolesafely and efficiently.

What we're looking for:

• Previous Experience in Construction or Civil
• Experience operating heavy machinery i.e. Excavators, bulldozers, rollers, dump trucks etc
• Full Clean Class 1 and 2 licence with WTR (4 would be advantageous)
• Strong work ethic with good communication skills
• Competent with Health and Safety procedures
