Requirements:
- 3years relevant experience or a level 4 or above relevant qualification,Bachelor's degree or above, no major restrictions.
- Must be flexible for work, able to work over the weekends and must cover our required shifts.
- Long-term and full commitments are required.
- Operate excavation and other earthmoving machines to dig, break, move and load earth, rock, and debris. Complete foundation excavations for construction projects and civil excavation for civil projects.
- Operate earthmoving machines and complete large scale and precisionexcavation work
- Prepare machines by selecting, fitting, and installing right attachments
- Read detailed construction/civil plans and position machines for operation
- Operate and control the machines to cut, excavate, break, drill, level, compact,and gouge out the ground
- Operate machines to fill, move, load and spread earth, rock, rubble, soil andother materials
- Manipulate attachments using manual, electronic or hydraulic controls
- Perform routine checks on machines and adjust controls to regulate theoperation, and ensure safety of other workers
- Conduct preventative maintenance on machines when required
- Follow verbal and drawing instructions to ensure work performance
- Clean, lubricate, refuel, adjust and repair machines when required

Our opportunities include working across a variety of civil projects, including subdivisions, earthworks, drainage, services and general civil construction. We're looking for experienced operators who are confident on machinery and understand how to work safely and efficiently across busy civil sites.
What We're Looking For
- Operating excavators and other heavy civil machinery across subdivisions, earthworks, drainage and general site works
- Working around drainage crews, services and live utilities
- Trenching, excavation, backfilling, site cuts and general earthworks
- Operating machinery using GPS machine control systems where required
- Carrying out daily machine checks and operating equipment safely
- Working effectively alongside supervisors and wider civil crews
- Ability to work confidently across different stages of civil construction projects
You’ll need:
- Minimum 2 years' civil construction experience in New Zealand
- Current WTR endorsements
- Class 2 & 4 licence
