Job summary

Atlas Quarries in Brynderwyn is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair the quarry fleet, keeping trucks and plant running safely and efficiently. You will work in a workshop and on-site, supported by a small team, conducting servicing, diagnostics and repairs to a high NZ trades standard.

You will manage fleet maintenance schedules, source parts, and ensure job programmes are costed and aligned with safety requirements. NZ residency or a valid work visa is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a heavy diesel mechanic workshop or maintenance environment.
• Trade qualification as Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements in a workshop.
• Ability to meet maintenance schedules and job programmes.
• Ability to order parts and equipment for fleet maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain trucks to COF standard.
• Carry out maintenance, repairs and servicing of fleet vehicles and ancillary plant, including mobile jobs.
• Maintain accurate fleet maintenance schedules and servicing programmes with cost estimates.
• Order and organise parts and equipment for jobs.
• Be a committed team member and develop relationships with staff and managers.
