Job summary

Trade Assist in Canterbury is seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team. You will service, maintain and repair heavy machinery across workshop and site environments, diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults and carrying out preventative maintenance.

Excellent hands-on skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential, along with a clean NZ Driver Licence preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and solid industry experience.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• A solid work ethic and reliable attitude.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy machinery.

• Helping keep machinery and equipment operating safely and efficiently.
• General workshop, yard and equipment duties.
