Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora invites an experienced Programme Lead to drive planning, resourcing and delivery of major infrastructure within the National Remediation Programme. You will coordinate across regional teams, procurements, and consultants to move projects from inception through handover, with emphasis on scope, schedule, budget and governance.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in project management, construction or related field.
• Certification such as PMP, MSP, Reg PM or PRINCE2.
• Experience applying modern project management practices including risk management and benefits realisation.
• Experience delivering projects within set timeframes and budgets.
• Experience defining project scope, delivering plans and monitoring multiple projects.
• Knowledge of NZ building codes and compliance requirements.
• Strong financial governance and reporting capability.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, design, facilities, procurement and finance teams.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with external consultants, suppliers and contractors.
• Experience in healthcare, education, housing or construction-related sectors advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of major infrastructure projects within the National Remediation Programme.
• Coordinate with regional facilities teams, capital planners and consultants to align priorities.
• Oversee scope, budgets, schedules, risks and performance through delivery lifecycle.
• Provide governance support and reporting to programme governance groups.
• Support safer, more reliable healthcare environments across Aotearoa.
