Job summary

Awatere Village in Hamilton is seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our casual team. You’ll deliver personal care, build warm relationships with residents, and support our Registered Nurses in a respectful, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in caregiving or a similar role.
• Compassionate nature with genuine empathy for older adults.
• Clear communication and a collaborative spirit.
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care and support to residents under RN guidance.
• Build warm, respectful relationships with residents, families and team.
• Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment by following care standards.
