Job summary

Delegat Group Limited in Blenheim seeks a Head of Viticulture to lead our New Zealand viticultural teams. You will implement scientifically led practices to optimise yield and quality across 3,200 hectares in Marlborough and Hawke's Bay, reporting to the Group Operations Manager - Viticulture.

The role demands senior leadership, large-scale vineyard management experience, strong WHS knowledge, and a collaborative, growth-focused style.

• You are tertiary qualified in viticulture.
• Experience in managing large-scale viticulture operations, with commercial acumen.
• Proven experience working in high-performance environments.
• A collaborative, growth-focused leadership style with excellent people management skills.
• Current working knowledge and experience of NZ WHS legislation and requirements.
• You are curious and continuously learn and grow your capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement and development of Vineyard Managers and Viticulturalists to foster innovation and technical excellence of our world class vineyards.
• Lead and ensure all vineyard operations are planned to optimise yield and quality while driving continuous improvement, focused on operational excellence and efficiency.
• Review annual Viticulture Division plant and equipment requirements and the Viticulture Division operating budgets.
• Develop an industry-leading, high-performance workplace culture and embed a strong health and safety culture across the teams.
