Job summary

Trade Me is seeking a Head of Martech to lead the Lifecycle and Customer Data teams, champion personalised journeys, and maximise Braze using our first-party data. You will drive AI adoption across the marketing guild and partner with Product, Engineering, and Data to deliver business results.

You will guide the Martech stack vision, manage budgets, and mentor a high-performing team while shaping cross-functional relationships and strategies across multiple channels in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Martech or Data or Digital Marketing experience spanning lifecycle, data, paid media, and automation.
• Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing tech budgets and leading vendor negotiations.
• High data and lifecycle literacy, with the ability to translate complex data or platform scenarios into a focused, deliverable roadmap, aligned to business opportunities.
• Proven track record of leading high performing teams as well as influencing senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Marketing as well as executive level.
• Exceptional communication skills to sell the Martech vision and drive organisational buy-in.

Responsibilities

• Drive better personalised customer communications on and off product, using Braze and our own data to deliver great value to Kiwi and audience growth for Trade Me
• Leverage first-party data to power high-ROI marketing
• Own the Martech stack vision and roadmap, and key internal / external relationships optimising platforms to reduce complexity and maximise ROI
• Lead AI adoption across the marketing guild, identifying high-value use cases and embedding new tools. (with a future state, experimentation approach)
• Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing Martech team
• Act as a key bridge and influence senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing
