Job summary

Botany Downs Secondary College is seeking an experienced and passionate educational leader to head our Learning Support Department, including the SENCO, SAC Coordinator and Learning Assistant team. You will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure students with diverse learning needs can access and achieve within the curriculum and school community.

The successful candidate will hold a current New Zealand Teaching Council practising certificate and have proven leadership experience

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand Teaching Council practising certificate
• Proven leadership experience in learning support or SENCO roles

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Learning Support Department
• Collaborate with whānau, staff, external agencies and specialist services to foster inclusion and belonging
• Advocate for students with diverse learning needs within the curriculum and school community
