Job summary

Auckland Council is seeking a Senior Manager – Infrastructure Reporting to lead a group-wide reporting transformation, unify data sources, and enable self-service analytics across the council and its entities.

You will build a trusted reporting framework, drive modern data technologies, and influence senior stakeholders while growing a high-performance data team in a complex public-sector organisation.

Qualifications

• Significant data/analytics leadership experience in a mature data organisation.
• Experience presenting to C-suite and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
• Proven track record delivering data migration and modern data stack implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead group-wide efforts to align reporting frameworks, standards and data flows.
• Develop and implement a strategic partnership model for reporting and metrics.
• Drive transition from legacy reporting to modern, self-service data access.
• Champion data governance, quality controls and continuous improvement across analytics.
• Coach and develop a high-performing data team and manage vendor partnerships.
