Job summary

Auckland Council is seeking a Senior Asset Management Business Analyst to join the Asset Management Support team within Engineering, Assets and Technical Advisory. The role spans across asset-owning departments to improve asset management processes, information, systems and controls, delivering clear documentation and practical changes ready for operational use.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, information management, or organisational change.
• Experience leading analysis for complex business or system improvements.
• Strong requirements and documentation skills with clear deliverables.
• Stakeholder engagement and facilitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and design of asset management processes, including roles, rules, controls and information flows.
• Define business problems with stakeholders and document prioritised, testable requirements.
• Produce process maps, options analyses, decision records and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate workshops across asset owners, operations teams, and technical partners to resolve differing needs.
• Support solution evaluation, user acceptance testing, and transition to business as usual.
