Job summary

Reserve Bank - Te Pūtea Matua seeks a Manager Strategy and Emerging Technology to shape NZ's technology future. You will lead architecture, governance and roadmaps, while championing AI and emerging tech to improve operations and customer outcomes.

You will steer strategic technology initiatives, including Payments Modernisation, and influence senior stakeholders across the Bank to deliver meaningful business value.

Qualifications

• Significant senior technology leadership experience including enterprise architecture, technology strategy and portfolio management.
• Strong knowledge of emerging technologies, digital assets, payments, cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and their interaction with modern financial systems.
• Proven experience with AI and translating technology opportunities into business value.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead high-performing teams and build a sustainable culture.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Bank's technology strategy, lead architecture governance and technology roadmaps.
• Identify and champion emerging technologies to improve operations and customer outcomes.
• Lead AI deployment and business transformation initiatives.
• Provide technology leadership for Payments Modernisation and NZ's financial ecosystem projects.
