Job summary

Mainstream Hastings is seeking an experienced Class 2 Metro Driver / Storeperson for a permanent full-time role at the Hastings Branch. The successful candidate will report to the Hastings Operations Manager and possess a Forklift Operator Certificate, a clean Class 2 licence and Dangerous Goods Endorsement.

Desirable applicants will have NZ driving experience, be able to operate a truck and trailer confidently, and demonstrate strong work ethics with good English and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Forklift Operator Certificate required.
• Clean and valid Class 2 driver’s Licence.
• Dangerous Goods Endorsement required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience of Class 2 driving in NZ domestic transport industry.
• Good driving skills, able to drive and back a truck and trailer unit with confidence.
• Strong, reliable and safe work ethics.
• Able to work unsupervised.
• Good command of the English language.
• Relates well to others.

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Class 2 Metro Driver / Storeperson, based at our Hastings Branch. This role is a permanent full-time position, reporting to the Hastings Operations Manager.

We are after a person with the following skills, experience and certifications:

Must have:

• Current Forklift Operator Certificate
• Clean and valid Class 2 drivers License
• Dangerous Goods Endorsement
• Minimum 2 years' experience of class 2 driving in New Zealand domestic transport industry or international comparison
• Good driving skills, able to drive and back a truck and trailer unit with confidence
• Strong, reliable and safe work ethics
• Able to work unsupervised
• Good command of the English language
• Relates well to others

Desirable:

• Current DG Handling for Road Transport Certificate
• Basic knowledge of the geographic layout
• First Aid certificate
