Job summary

StraitNZ is seeking a Class 2 Metro Driver based in Palmerston North for full-time driving and delivery across the Manawatu, Hawkes Bay and Wellington regions.

Applicants should hold a clean Class 2 licence, OSH Forkhoist certificate, and ideally DG/F endorsements, with good local knowledge and a strong safety mindset. A competitive hourly pay and staff benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a clean Class 2 licence and relevant driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive and deliver goods around Palmerston North and greater Manawatu, Hawkes Bay and Wellington regions.
• Ensure safety and compliance on all trips and maintain vehicle standards.
• Assist with loading/unloading and maintain a clean, safe vehicle.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and meet delivery schedules.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team based from our depot in Palmerston North as a Class 2 Metro Driver.

We would like to hear from applicants with who have previous Class 2 driving experience. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday involving driving and delivery work in Palmerston North and around the greater Manawatu, Hawkes Bay and Wellington regions.

We are looking for a person who can demonstrate the following:

Has a clean Class 2 licence and relevant prior driving experience

Holds a current OSH Forkhoist certificate

Preferably holds a DG and F endorsement

Possesses excellent geographical knowledge of Palmerston North City, and the greater Manawatu, Hawkes Bay and Wellington regions

Is physically fit for the job

Displays a commitment to health and safety in the workplace

Is reliable and has the desire to be part of a winning team
