Job summary

PlaceMakers Christchurch in Hawke's Bay (Havelock North) is seeking a reliable driver to deliver orders to our customers in a fast-paced, safe manner using modern apps and hand-held tech. This full-time role at the Hastings/Havelock North branch involves manual handling with HIAB crane access.

You will collect orders, support the local branch with deliveries across the region, and assist in-store during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Hold a full, clean New Zealand Class 2 or 4 driver’s licence.
• HIAB crane operation experience is essential.
• Be physically fit with the ability to perform manual handling.
• Reliable with a proactive health & safety attitude.

Responsibilities

• Collect customer orders and deliver across the Hawke’s Bay region.
• Support Hastings Branch with deliveries and in-store duties during busy periods.
• Full-time driving with manual handling and crane access.
• Deliver orders safely while maintaining exceptional customer service.
• Assist in-store when required to serve customers.

Description

Delivering orders to our customers in a timely, professional, and safe manner. We use a range of hassle-free, modern-day apps and hand‑held technology, limiting the need for drivers to complete lengthy paperwork, saving you time, and making your life easier.

A fast‑paced and physical role, you will be part of our Hastings Branch Team, safely delivering orders to our customers whilst ensuring that we always provide exceptional service. You will also be supporting our team in the store during busy periods.

Daily Responsibilities Include

• Collecting customer orders and completing deliveries to our customers across the region
• Supporting our local branch with deliveries throughout the Hawkes Bay area
• Full‑Time driving responsibilities, with a manual handling aspect inclusive of crane access
• Safely delivering orders to our customers whilst ensuring that we always provide exceptional service
• Supporting the team to ensure our customers are receiving an exceptional service
• Assisting in store when required serving customers

This is a permanent full‑time role, offering 42.5 hours a week, Monday-Friday + Rostered Saturdays based in our Havelock North branch.

Skills And Experience

• Hold a full, clean Class 2 or 4 NZ Drivers Licence
• HIAB Crane operation experience is essential
• Have an excellent manner with people, especially customers
• Be physically fit as manual handling and heavy lifting are a requirement
• Be reliable and have a good attitude towards health & safety
