Job summary

Maritime NZ is seeking a Harm Prevention Lead for Ports and Harbours to shape how we work with industry to reduce harm across New Zealand's ports and harbours. This strategic programme role focuses on identifying drivers of harm and coordinating evidence-based interventions to achieve lasting change.

You will lead cross-agency collaboration, maintain governance and evaluation activity, and ensure the programme delivers value over time with a holistic view of system factors and incentives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large, complex programmes across organisations or systems.
• Strong systems thinking and policy capability for root-cause analysis.
• Using evidence and stakeholder perspectives to design interventions.
• Understanding harm prevention, risk reduction and safety frameworks.
• Governance, planning and evaluation skills to translate strategy into action.
• Excellent relationship-building and influencing across diverse groups.
