Job summary
Metro Performance Glass Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Manager for the Highbrook site in Auckland. You will own the maintenance operations, lead engineers, and drive reliability across plant equipment.
The role blends strategic planning with hands-on problem solving on the factory floor, with responsibility for budgets and safety. You will work closely with production and our National Manufacturing Logistics team to raise standards across sites and implement capital upgrades.
Qualifications
- Must hold a tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven maintenance engineering experience in a busy manufacturing/industrial setting.
- Experience leading and developing an engineering team.
- Strong troubleshooting, planning and budgeting abilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the maintenance engineering team on site.
- Hands-on troubleshooting for breakdowns and repairs.
- Drive preventative maintenance programmes to maximise reliability.
- Identify recurring breakdowns and address root causes.
- Develop long-term maintenance strategies and capital plans.
- Collaborate with production and wider National Manufacturing Logistics team.
- Model safe practices and ensure equipment is maintained and operated safely.
