Job summary

Karapiro Villas Resort in Cambridge, Waikato, is seeking a friendly, reliable Guest Services Attendant for a casual role. You will split time between reception and housekeeping, ensuring guests have a warm and memorable stay while villas are kept clean and well presented.

The role covers check-ins/outs, guest enquiries, bookings, payments and general resort information. The successful candidate will be flexible, well-presented and happy to help across tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality is a plus, but not essential.
• Able to present well and take pride in presentation.
• Willing to work across reception and housekeeping and pitch in where needed.
• Comfortable handling guest interactions and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with check-ins and check-outs.
• Respond to guest enquiries and requests.
• Answer phones and emails as required.
• Process bookings and guest payments.
• Provide information about the resort and local area.
• Support housekeeping to maintain villa cleanliness and presentation.

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and adaptable Guest Services Attendant to join our team on a casual basis.

This is a varied role covering both Reception and Housekeeping, making it perfect for someone who enjoys working with guests, takes pride in presentation and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and help wherever needed.

Guest Services Attendant – Casual

Karapiro Villas Resort | Cambridge, Waikato

As a Guest Services Attendant, you’ll help ensure our guests have a warm, welcoming and memorable stay while keeping our villas and resort looking their best.

Your responsibilities will include:

Guest Services & Reception

• Welcoming and assisting guests with check-ins and check-outs

• Responding to guest enquiries and requests

• Answering phones and emails as required

• Processing bookings, payments and guest information

• Providing information about the resort and local area

• Assisting guests throughout their stay

• Handling general reception and administrative tasks

Housekeeping

• Cleaning and servicing guest villas to a high standard

• Making beds and replenishing linen and amenities

• Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and living areas

• Preparing villas for new arrivals

• Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of shared resort areas

• Reporting maintenance issues or anything requiring attention

• Assisting with laundry and general housekeeping duties

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoys helping people

• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently

• Well-presented with great attention to detail

• Comfortable working across both reception and housekeeping

• Flexible and happy to pitch in wherever needed

• Confident communicating with guests and team members

• Able to work at a good pace while maintaining high standards

• Available to work a flexible range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required

Previous hotel, motel, resort or hospitality experience is a plus, but not essential. We’re happy to train the right person who has the right attitude and work ethic.
