Job summary

Beca Group Limited is seeking a Group Operational Resilience Lead to strengthen how we prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruption. You’ll lead the Critical Business Services framework, map dependencies, assess risks, and develop practical recovery plans in partnership with business and technology leaders.

Reporting to the CISO, you’ll influence senior leaders and build a capability from the ground up, collaborating across the Group to safeguard services for clients and communities

• Proven experience in operational resilience, business continuity, or cyber resilience.
• Experience with BIAs, resilience assessments, and disruption scenario testing.
• Ability to translate complex risk concepts into practical business language.

As our technology and supplier grow, we're creating a Group Operational Resilience Lead role to strengthen how we prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruption. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, you'll lead the development of Beca's Critical Business Services framework, partnering with stakeholders across the business to identify critical processes, map technology and supplier dependencies, assess risks, and establish practical recovery and resilience plans. You'll build a new enterprise capability, influence senior leaders, and shape Beca's Group-wide resilience—helping us continue delivering for our clients through disruption. This is a highly collaborative role that will see you working with business process owners, product owners, technology leaders, and operational teams across Beca. Rather than focusing solely on technology, you'll help translate complex technical and resilience concepts into practical actions and decision‑making frameworks that enable the wider business to prepare for and manage disruption.

Key responsibilities include:

• Establishing and developing Beca's Critical Business Services framework
• Working with business and technology leaders to identify critical services, dependencies, risks and single points of failure.
• Developing and testing practical recovery plans, operational runbooks and disruption scenarios.
• Driving resilience improvements and supporting major incident recovery across the Group.

About you

We are looking for a resilience professional who combines strong business engagement skills with a practical understanding of technology, cyber security, and operational risk. You may come from a business continuity, operational resilience, cyber resilience, disaster recovery, or related risk background.

You will bring

• Demonstrated experience in operational resilience, business continuity, cyber resilience, disaster recovery, or a related field.
• Practical experience conducting Business Impact Assessments (BIAs), resilience assessments, recovery planning, and scenario testing.
• A sound understanding of technology environments, critical service dependencies, cyber risks, and third‑party risks.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills with the ability to build consensus, and drive action.
• The ability to translate complex technical and risk concepts into clear, practical business language.
• Relevant professional qualifications or certifications would be advantageous but are not essential.

This role would suit an experienced resilience professional who is comfortable influencing senior leaders and outcomes, working across organisational boundaries, and building a capability from the ground up.
