Description du poste

Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Practice Lead to join our Auckland team, providing strategic leadership for quality assurance, testing governance and quality engineering practices across Beca's core Enterprise Applications, including Oracle Fusion, Workday, Dynamics, integrated platforms such as our travel system, and custom developed solutions.

You will be accountable for defining and embedding enterprise-wide quality assurance strategies, frameworks, standards and governance that support the successful delivery of technology initiatives and business outcomes. You will lead quality assurance across the full software delivery lifecycle, ensuring quality is proactively built into solutions and releases rather than validated at the end of delivery.

You will establish and drive best practice testing and quality engineering capabilities, including automation, performance, integration and release assurance, while providing oversight of enterprise testing activities across multiple portfolios and programmes. This includes developing quality metrics, managing quality risks, leading release readiness assessments, and providing executive-level reporting on quality performance and organisational delivery risk.

You will also provide strategic leadership of test and development environments, ensuring appropriate governance, security, data integrity and environment management practices support reliable and repeatable delivery outcomes. Working closely with senior technology, business and vendor stakeholders, you will influence decision-making, drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of quality ownership across the organisation.

This role will suit a senior leader who can develop and embed an enterprise quality strategy, build quality capability across teams, and establish a modern quality engineering culture that supports innovation, stability and continuous improvement. While the QA Practice, its services and ways of working are being established, you will also take a practical, hands‑on approach by working with the team to deliver testing services that meet the immediate needs of the business.

Mōu ake | About You

You are an experienced Quality Assurance leader with a strong background in establishing enterprise testing and quality assurance practices across complex technology environments. You bring significant experience in quality governance, release assurance, quality engineering and organisational quality maturity uplift, ideally across platforms such as Oracle, Workday, Dynamics or similar enterprise ecosystems.

You are a strategic and influential leader who can engage effectively with senior stakeholders, technology leaders, vendors and delivery teams to drive quality outcomes across large and complex programmes of work. You are passionate about building capability, mentoring others and creating a culture where quality is embedded into everything we do.

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience developing and implementing enterprise quality assurance strategies, governance frameworks and operating models.

  • Proven experience leading quality assurance across complex, integrated enterprise application environments, including major platforms such as Oracle Fusion, Workday or Dynamics, third‑party systems and custom‑developed solutions.

  • Strong experience establishing and driving quality engineering, test automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Demonstrated success building, mentoring and leading high‑performing testing and quality assurance teams.

  • Experience managing quality risk, release readiness and executive reporting across multiple initiatives and portfolios.

  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles, change and release management, and modern quality engineering approaches.

  • Experience overseeing enterprise test environments, including environment management, data governance and security controls, with practical knowledge of secure test data methods such as synthetic data generation, data masking, anonymisation and encryption.

  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence strategic decisions and drive organisational change.

  • A passion for developing people, improving delivery quality and advancing organisational quality maturity.

  • A proactive, hands‑on approach to building personal and team capability while positively contributing to the delivery of testing services across the business.
