Job summary

Gallagher is seeking a Group Broking Manager to join our Christchurch team. You will coach and mentor a 12–14 broker group, drive performance, and deliver strategic direction within a busy commercial brokerage environment.

You will provide expert insurance advice to key clients and help grow a portfolio while reporting to the Branch Manager. The role requires strong leadership, proactive initiative, and resilience in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching a team and driving performance.
• Ability to develop and manage complex client accounts and generate new business.
• Strong negotiation skills and adaptability.
• Proven ability to explain complex concepts and recommend solutions to customers.
• Experience presenting to key decision makers and building relationships.
• High commercial acumen and understanding of the insurance brokerage environment.
• FSLAA Certificate or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and mentor a team of Brokers & Broker Associates to meet targets.
• Deliver exceptional insurance advice to a portfolio of commercial clients.
• Coach and motivate the team to achieve business goals.
• Contribute to mid- and short-term business strategy and planning.
