Job summary

Gallagher in Wanaka, New Zealand, is seeking a seasoned Group Broking Manager to lead a team of Brokers and Broker Associates. You will coach, mentor and drive performance while guiding growth and profitability for the branch.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will shape strategy, develop key client relationships, and contribute to overall branch success. You’ll need strong leadership, proactive communication, and a track record of managing complex client accounts.

Qualifications

• Proven ability in coaching a team and performance management.
• Proven ability to develop and manage complex client accounts and generate, qualify and close new business opportunities.
• Negotiation skills with flexibility and innovation.
• Comfortable explaining complex concepts and making recommendations to customers.
• Demonstrated experience of presenting to and building relationships with key decision makers.
• A high degree of commercial acumen and experience.
• Complies with FSLAA regarding holding a Certificate in Financial Services (NZQA Level 5).

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage exceptional client relationships to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Assist in generating growth within the existing portfolio and convert new business.
• Contribute to mid and short-term business strategy and planning to ensure targets are in line with market trends, regulations and operational processes.
• Develop and monitor delivery of retention and profitability targets for self and the team, to achieve and exceed agreed levels of performance.
• Mentor, coach and motivate team members to achieve business targets.
