Gallagher Christchurch is seeking a Group Broking Manager to lead a team of Brokers and Broker Associates, delivering top-tier insurance advice to commercial clients. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll drive growth, mentor staff, and shape the branch culture in a fast-paced environment.

You will guide strategy, build client relationships, and ensure targets align with market trends and regulatory requirements while maintaining an inclusive, safety-conscious workplace.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to coach a team and manage performance.
• Proven ability to develop and manage complex client accounts and generate new business.
• Strong negotiation skills with flexibility and innovation.
• Able to explain complex concepts and make recommendations to customers.
• Experience presenting to key decision makers and building relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage exceptional client relationships to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Assist in generating growth within the existing portfolio and convert new business.
• Contribute to mid and short-term business strategy and planning to ensure targets are in line with market trends, regulations and operational processes.
• Develop and monitor delivery of retention and profitability targets for self and the team, to achieve and exceed targets.
• Mentor, coach and motivate team members to achieve business targets.
