Job summary

INTEC Energy Solutions – Christchurch, South Island invites applications for a Connections and Commissioning Manager. You will own the interface between grid connection, compliance, commissioning, testing, energisation and handover for major renewable energy projects in New Zealand.

You will coordinate across engineering, construction and project teams, liaising with Transpower, distribution businesses, clients and OEMs to ensure projects are energised and operate to specification.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree; CPEng or equivalent registration is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of NZ grid connection processes and requirements.
• Experience with utility-scale generation, BESS, HV infrastructure or substations.

Responsibilities

• Lead connection and commissioning activities from project execution through energisation and commercial operation.
• Coordinate grid compliance, testing, protection, controls, SCADA/EMS and plant controller requirements.
• Manage technical interfaces between engineering, construction, OEMs, contractors and network operators.
• Coordinate HV commissioning, witness testing, fault finding and resolution of technical issues.
• Drive technical readiness and operational handover to meet connection and performance requirements.
