Job summary

Stantec's 2027-2028 Graduate Programme in New Zealand invites a recent or soon-to-be chemical engineering graduate to kickstart a career in water infrastructure.

Based in a central office in Dunedin, you'll work on wastewater, drinking water, and stormwater projects, with mentoring and networking across NZ and Australia.

You'll contribute to design documents, feasibility studies, and project delivery while gaining exposure to client management in a supportive, flexible environment.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (hon) or related field.
• Motivated, pragmatic, and eager to learn across various disciplines.
• Strong interest in water engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist and prepare process design documents including technical notes, design calculations, reports, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Contribute to the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering projects and feasibility studies.
• Work across the entire project lifecycle, from concept to design and construction monitoring (onsite).
• Gain exposure to project and client management.
• Join a large, nurturing, and diverse team that works on local, national, and international projects.
• Collaborate with and learn from national and international industry experts.
