Stantec’s 2027-2028 Graduate Programme offers recent graduates a first step into professional engineering within a supportive environment. The role focuses on process engineering across wastewater, drinking water, and stormwater projects, with mentoring for accreditation and career development.

Based in Dunedin, you’ll join a collaborative team on local and international projects, enjoy a 2-year structured programme, and receive a base salary of NZD74,000 plus benefits and leave.

Qualifications

• Recent chemical engineering graduate or due to graduate in 2027.
• Motivated, pragmatic, and eager to learn across disciplines.
• Strong interest in water engineering.
• Demonstrated leadership and the ability to thrive in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist and prepare process design documents including technical notes, design calculations, reports, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Contribute to delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering projects and feasibility studies.
• Work across the project lifecycle from concept to design and construction monitoring (onsite).
• Gain exposure to project and client management.
• Join a large, nurturing, diverse team working on local, national, and international projects.
