Job summary
Bargain Chemist in Wellington is offering a Graduate Pharmacist internship to launch your pharmacy career. You will receive comprehensive intern training, ongoing guidance from a preceptor and PSNZ ITP, and tailored support as you transition from university to practice.
Our pharmacies operate 7 days a week with rosters that align to preceptors, offering a fast-paced, supportive environment. We're looking for graduates eligible for NZ Pharmacist registration who are passionate about patient care,
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy required and eligible for NZ registration.
- Natural people person who can connect, engage, and build lasting relationships with staff, customers and the community.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Support dispensary operations and ensure compliance with pharmacy standards.
- Work with pharmacists to ensure safe, accurate medication supply.
- Stock control, unpacking orders and assisting with blister packing.
- Dispense and check medicines; participate in dispensing services.
- Provide medication information to healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and their whānau about medications.
- Assist with extemporaneous compounding as needed.

- Dispense and checking medicines
- Participating in dispensary service provisions
- Extemporaneous compounding
- Provision of primary healthcare
- Provision of pharmacist only sales
- Providing medicine information to other healthcare professionals (HCP)
- Provide medication education to patients and their whānau
- Ensure patients receive safe and effective treatment in a timely manner
- Full-time (35 hours) Graduate Pharmacist
