Job summary

Bargain Chemist is seeking Graduate Pharmacists (interns) across Taranaki to launch their careers in a fast-paced community pharmacy. You will receive comprehensive intern training, guidance from preceptors, and PSNZ ITP support to transition from university to professional practice.

The role offers 35 hours per week in a 7-day operation with competitive pay and clear development paths within a growing Kiwi company. Flexibility with rosters is important.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy is required.
• Eligible to meet the requirements for registration as a NZ Pharmacist.
• Strong communication and patient care focus.
• Ability to work in a busy community pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Support dispensary operations and ensure compliance with pharmacy standards.
• Work closely with pharmacists to ensure safe and accurate medication supply.
• Stock control, unpacking orders, and assisting with blister packing.
• Provide medication education to patients and whānau.
• Dispense and check medicines; participate in dispensary service provisions.
• Extemporaneous compounding and provision of pharmacist-only sales.
• Provide medication information to other healthcare professionals.

What You'll Bring to Life in this Role

• Provide medication education to patients and their whānau
• Ensure patients receive safe and effective treatment in a timely manner
