Job summary

Bargain Chemist in Te Awamutu is seeking a dedicated pharmacy technician to join the Te Awamutu store and support dispensing, customer counselling and stock management.

The ideal candidate holds a level 4+ Pharmacy Technician qualification with OTC knowledge and a willingness to work late nights, weekends and public holidays. First aid is desirable and TONIQ software is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician qualification - level 4 or above.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in Pharmacy; OTC knowledge essential.
• First Aid qualification is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in TONIQ Dispensary software is an advantage.
• Able to work late nights/weekends/public holidays.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional accuracy and speed with attention to detail.
• Blister pack experience.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the team in the dispensary with the labelling and dispensing of medicines to final accuracy and clinical check stage.
• Providing healthcare advice, product recommendations, and counselling customers.
• Assist customers with their prescriptions and general enquiries.
• Dispensary stock management and replenishment.
• Updating customer files and other administrative tasks.
• Blister pack creation.

What We're Looking For

• Must have Pharmacy Technician qualification - level 4 or above.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in Pharmacy preferred - OTC knowledge is essential.
• A First Aid qualification is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in TONIQ Dispensary software is an advantage.
• Are able to work late nights/weekends and public holidays.
• Are able to multitask with a clear head and a positive attitude.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Have exceptional accuracy and speed with a good eye for detail.
• Have Blister pack experience.
