Job summary

Transpower, New Zealand's grid owner and operator, invites graduates to join a two-year rotational engineering programme starting February 2028 in Wellington. You will apply theory to real-world challenges and work with transmission professionals from day one.

By December 2027 you should hold a BE(Hons) in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, or Mechatronics with a minimum 5.5 GPA, plus strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• By December 2027 you will have completed a BE(Hons) in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, or Mechatronics.
• Minimum B+ (5.5 GPA) and strong written and verbal communication.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a two-year rotational programme across teams.
• Engage with internal/external teams and customers.
• Develop technical capability in domains such as Power Systems or Transmission.
