Job summary

Transpower in Wellington is recruiting for a two-year graduate programme for engineering graduates. You will rotate through different teams, applying your Electrical/Electrical & Electronics or Mechatronics knowledge to real-world grid projects, with mentorship and cross-team collaboration.

By December 2027 you will have completed an engineering degree with a strong academic record, and you will develop both technical and communication skills to support Aotearoa's energy future.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, or Mechatronics.
• Power Systems or Renewable Energy papers completed or in progress.
• Minimum B+ (5.5 GPA) and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a two-year rotational programme across Transmission domains.
• Engage with internal teams and external partners on real projects.
• Apply theory and first principles to real-world challenges.
• Develop technical and commercial skills for career progression.
