Transpower is offering a two-year graduate programme in Wellington for engineering graduates. You will participate in a rotational placement across different teams, applying theory to real-world grid challenges and building your professional network with industry experts.

Commencement is February 2028, with a cohort of graduates; expect mentoring and formal training to accelerate your career in New Zealand’s power system, with rotations to multiple offices as needed.

Qualifications

• By December 2027 you will have completed BE(Hons) in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, or Mechatronics.
• Minimum B+ (5.5 GPA) across your degree.
• Demonstrated curiosity, strong written and verbal communication, and active listening.

Responsibilities

• Complete a two-year rotational programme across Transpower teams.
• Engage with internal/external teams, customers, and the wider business.
• Develop technical and commercial skills for a career in energy.
