Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Gore, New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Grader Driver to maintain roads under the Gore Road Maintenance contract. This hands-on role focuses on safe operation, delivering quality work, and supporting the wider contract team on site.

You will perform daily checks, deliver planned and responsive maintenance, and adhere to site procedures and safety standards while contributing to the local network’s reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating a grader in road maintenance, civil, or infrastructure environments.
• The relevant class licences, endorsements, and confidence operating heavy plant.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality, and doing the job right first time.
• A reliable, team-focused approach and the ability to work well with others on site.
• Good judgement, initiative, and a willingness to pitch in where needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a grader safely and efficiently across road maintenance activities.
• Deliver planned maintenance, response work, and general network upkeep to a high standard.
• Complete daily checks and basic care of plant and equipment.
• Work closely with the wider crew to meet programme, quality, and safety expectations.
• Follow site procedures, traffic management requirements, and Fulton Hogan safety standards at all times.
