Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a highly organised GPEP1 RMO Coordinator to support the General Practice Education Programme Year 1 employment model. You will be the main contact for registrars and training providers, handling onboarding, payroll coordination, and placement management, while liaising with RNZCGP and Health New Zealand teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality service.

The role sits within the Planning, Funding & Outcomes team and collaborates with payroll,

Qualifications

Experience in workforce administration, programme coordination, human resources, medical workforce support, or a similar operational environment.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Experience maintaining records, databases, and administrative systems.
Excellent customer service, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement when handling sensitive matters.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day employment coordination and administrative support for GPEP1 registrars.
Support onboarding, employment administration, leave and payroll coordination.
Manage registrar placements and provider liaison; support registrar needs.
Collaborate with RNZCGP and Health New Zealand teams for a nationally coordinated programme.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and programme delivery.
