Job summary

ZURU Toys in Auckland is seeking a Business Development Executive to own the new business engine, closing distribution gaps and opening retailers globally. You’ll analyze data, build compelling pitches, and collaborate with multinational teams to place top SKUs on shelves where they aren’t yet listed.

You’ll be based at our Auckland HQ and work with Commercial, Sales, and BD colleagues across New Zealand, India, the US, Europe and Asia.

Qualifications

• Basic Excel skills and ability to pull insights from data.
• Confidence in pitching and making compelling sales cases.
• Motivated to work early mornings and late nights.
• Collaborates effectively with multiple global teams.

Responsibilities

• Close product-level distribution gaps across the portfolio.
• Own the GAP picture: identify where SKUs are not listed.
• Review sell-through and ranging data to size prize opportunities.
• Build ranging cases and craft buyer pitches.
• Open new retailers and manage the New Retailer CRM.
• Qualify opportunities and move accounts to next steps with deadlines.
