Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Auckland laboratory is expanding its team and seeking two Medical Laboratory Scientists with experience in delivering high-quality germline genomic testing. You will work with advanced molecular techniques, including Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), to provide accurate, timely results that impact patient care.

You will analyze, interpret, and clinically report genomic tests, ensuring precision and quality at every step.

Qualifications

• Experience with next generation sequencing and germline variant curation is essential.
• Previous experience in a medical laboratory carrying out molecular diagnostic techniques is essential.
• A methodical and organised approach to work with a keen focus on accuracy and data quality.
• Good knowledge of ISO15189 standards.
• Flexibility to suit service demands with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines.
• Working knowledge of computer based systems within the context of a Medical Laboratory.

• Contribute to the accuracy and timeliness of results impacting patient care.
• Collaborate with Genomics initiatives and cross-functional teams within LabPlus.
