Job summary

Kinetic is seeking a seasoned General Manager – Finance Systems and Process to lead governance, development and continuous improvement of our finance platforms across NZ. You will own Oracle Fusion ERP/EPM configuration, establish process architecture, and drive change control for Finance Operations, FP&A and Group Finance.

You will build and lead a high-performing finance systems team, deliver automation improvements, and partner with senior stakeholders to sustain a modern, compliant finance

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in finance systems, governance or enterprise finance technology
• Tertiary qualification in information systems, accounting or related discipline
• Strong Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP/EPM design and configuration experience or equivalent
• Experience with finance process architecture, internal controls, change control and governance frameworks
• Knowledge of security role design, segregation of duties and SaaS release management

Responsibilities

• Lead transition of finance platforms from implementation partner to in-house operating and support model
• Own configuration and governance of Oracle Fusion ERP and EPM platforms
• Establish finance process architecture, system standards and change-control practices
• Lead quarterly SaaS release management, with impact assessments and regression testing
• Govern finance integrations across connected platforms (asset management, HCM, payroll, banking, payments)
• Oversee finance security roles, access provisioning and reviews
• Manage finance systems backlog and prioritise initiatives with senior stakeholders
• Identify and deliver automation/AI opportunities to improve efficiency

General Manager – Finance Systems and Process

Kinetic is undergoing an exciting period of finance transformation, and we are looking for an experienced General Manager – Finance Systems and Process to lead the governance, development and continuous improvement of our finance platforms and processes across Australia and New Zealand.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who can take ownership of a modern finance systems environment following implementation, establish strong governance and build the internal capability needed to manage and continuously improve the platform.

Reporting to the Finance & Procurement Transformation Lead, you will be accountable for the design integrity of finance processes across Kinetic's ERP and EPM platforms. You will establish the standards that guide Finance Operations, FP&A and Group Finance, while building and leading the finance systems team.

What you'll be responsible for

Leading the transition of Kinetic's finance platforms from the implementation partner into an effective in-house operating and support model

Owning the configuration and ongoing governance of the Oracle Fusion ERP and EPM platforms

Establishing finance process architecture, system standards and effective change-control practices

Leading quarterly SaaS release management, including impact assessments, regression testing, business communication and optional feature adoption

Governing finance integrations across connected platforms, including asset management, HCM, payroll, banking, payment verification and ticketing

Overseeing finance security roles, segregation of duties, access provisioning and periodic access reviews

Managing the finance systems improvement backlog and prioritising initiatives with senior finance stakeholders

Identifying and delivering practical automation and AI opportunities that provide measurable efficiency and value

Developing user capability through training, system controls and Oracle Guided Learning

Building, leading and developing a high-performing finance systems team.

About you

You will bring significant experience leading finance systems, process governance or enterprise finance technology within a large and complex organisation.

Ideally, you will have:

A tertiary qualification in information systems, accounting or a related discipline

Strong Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP and EPM experience at a design and configuration level, or comparable experience with another tier-one SaaS ERP

Experience across finance process architecture, internal controls, change control and governance frameworks

Knowledge of security role design, segregation of duties, system integrations and SaaS release management

The ability to work credibly with senior finance, technology and operational stakeholders

Strong commercial judgement and the confidence to make and hold clear governance decisions

Experience establishing or leading a finance systems function and transitioning a platform from an implementation partner into internal ownership

Experience with finance automation or AI-enabled process improvement would be advantageous.
