Job summary

Indevin is one of New Zealand’s leading wine companies, with a global customer base and a portfolio spanning consumer brands, wine supply and strategic partnerships. The newly established Senior Category & Insights role will connect insight, analytics and category thinking to sharper commercial decisions and stronger customer partnerships.

Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, you will lead category strategy, build insight and analytics capability including emerging AI opportunities, and

Qualifications

  • Proven senior category, insights, strategy or commercial leadership experience within FMCG, CPG, retail or consumer businesses.
  • Strong track record translating data, research and insight into commercial strategy and growth.
  • Deep understanding of category management, customer strategy and portfolio optimization.
  • Experience operating across complex or international markets, with global exposure highly valued.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to connect insight to revenue, margin and investment decisions.
  • Forward thinking approach to data, analytics, technology and emerging AI capabilities.
  • Executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge thinking constructively.
  • Hands on and adaptable leadership style, delivering outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Translate data and market intelligence into actionable customer and category plans.
  • Support portfolio, innovation and commercial decisions through robust insight.

  • Build strong relationships across Sales, Marketing, Finance and the wider ELT.

Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, this newly established role will lead Indevin’s Category & Insights agenda as the business continues its shift towards a more customer led and commercially focused strategy.
