Job summary

Skyline in Rotorua is seeking a General Grounds Maintenance worker to join our small team of Groundsman. You’ll help keep the grounds immaculate and handle occasional outdoor tasks.

This role suits someone who is self-motivated, able to work unsupervised from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with safety as a priority and a positive can-do attitude.

• Physically fit for heavy outdoor work.

• Previous experience preferred but not essential; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Report any equipment requiring maintenance or repair to the manager.
• Keep grounds and site appearance to a high standard through cleaning, rubbish collection, soft landscaping, and general site maintenance.
• Assist with landscaping projects as directed by the manager.

Job description

As General Grounds Maintenance, you’ll be working alongside our small team of Groundsman to ensure our grounds are kept in an immaculate condition and ‘odd jobs’ around the site are completed.

We are looking for someone who can work unsupervised, is self-motivated and has a ‘can do’ attitude. This role is typically worked Monday to Friday working between 7:00am to 3:30pm.

The perfect candidate will be

• physically fit as this position involves heavy lifting and is based outdoors,
• self-motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude,
• previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, full on the job training will be provided.

Responsibilities include

• Reporting any equipment requiring maintenance or repair to the manager.
• Ensuring the grounds and site appearance is of a high standard by cleaning, rubbish collection, soft landscaping, and general site maintenance.
• Participation in implementing any landscaping projects as directed by the manager.
