Job summary

Skyline Enterprises is seeking a General Grounds Maintenance worker to join our small team in Rotorua. You will help keep our grounds immaculate and handle miscellaneous tasks around the site, including cleaning, rubbish collection, soft landscaping and general upkeep.

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, outdoors, with potential heavy lifting. Prior experience is preferred but not essential; on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Physically fit; heavy lifting and outdoor work.
• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
• Previous experience preferred but not essential; on-the-job training available.

Responsibilities

• Report equipment needing maintenance or repair to the manager.
• Keep grounds clean and tidy; rubbish collection and general site maintenance.
• Assist with landscaping projects as directed by the manager.

Who We’re Looking For

As General Grounds Maintenance, you’ll be working alongside our small team of Groundsman to ensure our grounds are kept in an immaculate condition and ‘odd jobs’ around the site are completed.

We are looking for someone who can work unsupervised, is self-motivated and has a ‘can do’ attitude. This role is typically worked Monday to Friday working between 7:00am to 3:30pm.

The perfect candidate will be

• physically fit as this position involves heavy lifting and is based outdoors,
• self-motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude,
• previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, full on the job training will be provided.

Responsibilities Include

• Reporting any equipment requiring maintenance or repair to the manager.
• Ensuring the grounds and site appearance is of a high standard by cleaning, rubbish collection, soft landscaping, and general site maintenance.
• Participation in implementing any landscaping projects as directed by the manager.
