Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Registered Nurse for Gastroenterology on a fixed-term basis, 0.6 FTE (48 hours per fortnight) until December 2027. The role involves joining the endoscopy and gastroenterology team to provide high-quality patient care.

You'll upskill in gastroenterology procedures, support diagnostic outpatient services, and participate in after-hours rostering. Applicants must hold NZ nursing registration and have the right to work in NZ.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC.
• Right to work in New Zealand (no visa sponsorship available).
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and with others.
• Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Adaptable, flexible and solution focused.
• Experience in gastroenterology and/or flexible endoscopy is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the endoscopy service and with the Gastroenterology team.
• Upskill in gastroenterology and assist with flexible endoscopic procedures.
• Support a diagnostic outpatient service and broader nursing practice.
• Participate in after-hours acute service roster.
• Expand knowledge in bowel screening, IBD and liver disease.
