Job summary

INNOVATIVE CONSTRUCTION & TRADING LIMITED specializes in carpentry and a wide range of construction work. We are seeking two carpenters to join our busy team and deliver high-quality service to our valued customers.

This is a full-time position with a minimum of 30 guaranteed hours per week. Two carpenters will be part of a busy crew responsible for reviewing drawings, selecting materials, and constructing frameworks, roofs, and cladding while maintaining health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• At least two years of work experience in construction, or a certificate in a construction-related area can replace the work experience requirement.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work as a team member.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications to determine required materials, dimensions, and installation methods.
• Order and select timber and building materials, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality.
• Prepare layouts, cut materials to size, and assemble components using nails, screws, and adhesives.
• Construct and install framework, roof structures, sub-flooring, and floorboards, ensuring structural accuracy.
• Install fascia panels, roof sheathing, exterior cladding, and door and window frames.
• Assemble and fit pre-cut wood to form structures and fittings for installation.
• Cut and shape wood joints for strong and secure connections.
• Repair and modify existing fixtures and fittings.
• Adhere to health and safety standards.
• Other reasonable tasks required by management.
