Job summary

Napier City Council is seeking a Customer Services Officer to deliver approachable, professional frontline service to every customer and be the friendly face our community relies on.

You will accurately process applications, registrations, bookings, and payments, respond to service requests, and guide customers through Council processes while maintaining up-to-date information and systems. This fixed-term role supports an internal secondment and is based in Napier.

Qualifications

• Extensive customer service experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital systems, databases, and administrative tools.
• Calm under pressure with strong attention to accuracy in a busy environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a warm, professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Deliver frontline service to every customer.
• Process applications, registrations, bookings, and payments accurately and promptly.
