Job summary

Role involves using knives and sharp equipment; attention to detail, safety awareness and following procedures are essential. Training is provided, with opportunities for ongoing employment in a friendly team setting.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic.
• Comfortable working with fruit and vegetables.
• Able to work safely with sharp equipment.
• Good attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to work in a fast-paced processing environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Previous food processing experience is an advantage, but training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Process, trim, cut and prepare fresh fruit and vegetables.
• Operate knives, cutting equipment and other processing machinery safely.
• Sort and inspect produce for quality.
• Pack and label finished products.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work area.
• Follow food safety, health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work efficiently to meet daily production targets.
• Safely handle and move produce, boxes and equipment.
• Report damaged equipment, hazards or product quality issues to supervisors.
