Job summary

New World Bishopdale is hiring a Produce Assistant in Christchurch for a Friday 9:00am–5:00pm shift. Join a friendly team dedicated to fresh produce, great displays, and excellent customer service. Training is provided and the role offers ongoing development in a busy department.

You’ll help with produce preparation, stock replenishment, presentation, food safety, and teamwork to keep the department running smoothly all day.

Responsibilities

• Produce preparation and stocking to keep fruit and vegetables fresh and available.
• Keep displays full, tidy and visually appealing throughout the day.
• Check produce for freshness and quality, removing damaged items.
• Serve customers with a smile and help them find what they need.
• Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene and safe food handling standards.
• Work with the wider supermarket team to keep the department running smoothly.
